Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information .comdesign collects through dotcomdesign.online, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a web design studio based in Kitchener, Ontario, and we handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit the consultation form we receive your name, business name, email address, phone number, current website address and whatever you write in the message field. When you join the newsletter we receive your email address. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details or other sensitive personal information through this website.

Why we collect it

We use your contact details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and carry out work you engage us for. Newsletter addresses are used only to send the monthly website teardown. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we never sell or rent it to anyone.

Who can see it

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, and are accessible only to .comdesign. Netlify may process this data on servers outside Canada. We use no third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site. If we later add analytics, this policy will be updated before that happens.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, where we go on to work together, for the duration of the project plus seven years to meet Canadian record-keeping requirements. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it entirely. Email info@dotcomdesign.online and we will respond within 30 days. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
